and versatile teaching methods of Indra Devi. Susan also includes
postures from the Kundalini tradition as well as restorative
poses.
All classes include meditation, asana (postures), and breathing
techniques. Susan offers a gentle and challenging approach
to yoga practice that allows her students to open up and explore
their minds, bodies, and spirits. Susan believes, “Our
breath guides us each day and it is our breath that will set
us free.” With consistent practice, yoga can provide
anyone with a greater sense of well-being.

teaching, workshops, seva, and daily practice. Susan is a

“Prenatal
yoga with Susan Adams was such a positive and rewarding
experience. Susan is supportive, informative and helpful
with poses and breathing. I took classes from her for
a few months prior to delivering my first child. I remember
going to class on my due date too. I know the practice
was instrumental in the non-medicated birth of my daughter
and the fairly short labor. In addition to the great
class, Susan brought in books and essential oils to
share. I am lucky to have found such a wonderful teacher.”

“Susan
is a warm, kind individual and has been a wonderful
pre-natal yoga instructor. For me, being pregnant has
been one of the most joyous experiences of my life and
Susan has helped me stay centered, focused, and relaxed
through her teachings of pre-natal yoga. Thanks to pre-natal
yoga I have been able to continue to enjoy my yoga practice
just as much as before I became pregnant. Susan modified
several poses so I could continue to experience the
full benefits of yoga while being gentle on my changing
body. The emphasis on the growing baby inside has been
heart warming. Thank you for another wonderful pregnancy
memory.”

“After
being away from yoga for forty years, I returned to
practice under Susan Adams’s guidance. Her attention
to pacing, careful sequencing and emphasis on awareness
of one's own physical, mental, and spiritual state allowed
me to resume my practice with confidence and satisfaction.”

“As
one of Susan Adams's trainers, I 've had the privilege
to be a close witness to her growth and awakening inner
wisdom in becoming a yoga professional. With her natural
mental brightness and compassionate inner strength,
she presents well-tested knowledge and offers open-hearted
help for her fortunate students.
Her ongoing search for truth is apparent to all who
know her. She also serves the larger community of yoga
with her nuggets of knowledge in the form of workshops,
writing yoga articles, and participating in professional
meetings. Susan is one of yoga's modern-day pioneers,
tirelessly clearing the landscape for yoga's purity
to remain in tact. Students who take Susan's classes
will find a gem of a teacher with the diamond-like quality
of reflecting back to students their own Inner Teacher.”

“I
am a 47 year old man who enjoys sports and fitness.
My wife has been attending a Saturday Yoga class
and one day I went with her to find out what it
was all about. I now go to this 1.5 hour yoga
class every week.
Yoga adds a dimension to fitness that I had never
experienced before. It improved my flexibility
and balance. As an adult leader with the Boy Scouts,
I recently went on a 55 mile trek and carried
a 60 pound backpack. During the entire weekend
of strenuous hiking, I did not even have any sore
muscles! During my work day, I find myself sitting
in a more balanced and relaxed position. I can
adjust my breathing to feel more relaxed. I have
even found myself more balanced and precise in
my golf swing. You can experience the benefits
of yoga no matter what your baseline fitness level.
You can adjust the stretching poses to what is
comfortable and possible for you. It is not competitive.
I recommend it for anyone who wants to feel fit,
flexible, and relaxed. You might find it working
for you throughout the week, like I have.”
